FRANÇAIS À LA SUITE...

It was with the help of Reiki master François Michaud, a childhood friend of mine who shared with me his impressions of my recent pieces, that the idea for an album like this sprang forth.

“Ces lieux qui chantent”—“these places that sing”—revolves around the discovery of melodies of introspection, relaxation and reflection, brought into relation with locations on our beautiful planet. Each title corresponds to a place that inspired particular atmospheres.

A picture is worth a thousand notes, after all, wouldn't you say?

The Panoramio website provided the premise for my creative musical impulses, as it has for a few years now. There, like me, you can travel the globe through pictures taken by countless amateur photographers of the world and discover extraordinary places that inspire a sense of wonder at this Earth we know so little about. The experience is unique and entirely free . . . Fantastic.

It was there that I first saw the images captured by the Czechoslovak Lukas Novak, an air traffic controller and amateur photographer who lives in Calgary. He kindly granted me permission to use the magnificent picture on the album cover, which was taken near Lima, in southern Montana.

C'est avec l'aide de François Michaud, maître Reiki, un ami d'enfance qui, ayant partagé avec moi ses impressions de mes dernières pièces, que surgit l'idée de produire un tel album.

"Ces lieux qui chantent". Axé principalement sur la découverte de mélodies introspectives, de détente, de réflexion, le tout jumelé à des endroits sur notre belle planète. Chacun des titres correspond au lieu qui m'a inspiré ces atmosphères.

Une image ne vaut-elle pas mille notes après tout ?

Mes élans de créativité musicale ont eu comme prémisse le site web Panoramio et ce, depuis quelques années. Vous pourrez, tout comme moi, y faire un voyage photographique planétaire unique, grâce à tous ces photographes amateurs du monde. Vous y découvrirez des endroits extraordinaires qui portent vers l'émerveillement de cette Terre que l'on ne connaît qu'à peine. Tout a fait gratuitement... Formidable.

C'est là que j'ai fait la découverte des images de Lukas Novak, un tchécoslovaque, contrôleur aérien, photographe amateur, vivant à Calgary. Il m'a gentiment libéré les droits d'utilisation de cette magnifique image en couverture. (Près de Lima au sud du Montana)
